Commonly affects the appendix and classically mimics an appendiceal abscess. The sigmoid colon is also commonly affected. It may appear similar to diverticulitis, cancer, TB and Crohn disease.
CT
• Mass compressing the caecum/ileum.
• Look for sinus tracts and fistulae.
