Associated with IgG4. More common in Japan, although still rare overall. May be managed with steroids.
CT
• Diffuse enlargement of the pancreas (‘sausage’ or ‘banana’ pancreas).
• Peripancreatic halo of low density.
• Focal forms may demonstrate an enhancing mass (often misinterpreted as malignancy).
• Not associated with pseudocysts.
