Rare—prognosis is poor. It presents with biliary obstruction, and mostly occurs in the context of stones. Melanoma, breast cancer and lymphoma may metastasise to the gallbladder.
US
• Focal area of wall thickening
• Vascular mass on Doppler US
• Gallstones in up to 90%
CT
• Gallbladder mass that commonly spreads by direct extension into the liver.
• Enhances with contrast.
• Nodes at the porta hepatis.
• Peritoneal disease is common.
