GEOGRAPHIC
• Term used to describe marginated or solitary area of bone lucency.
• Margins of the lesion could be traced easily with a pencil line.
• More likely benign.
MOTH-EATEN
• Caused by numerous smaller osteolytic lesions.
• Endosteal excavations.
• Likely malignant.
PERMEATIVE
• Aggressive infiltrative process that causes cortical tunnelling.
• Numerous tiny and indistinct osteolytic lesions with poor margination between abnormal and normal bone.
• Likely malignant.
