BARIUM FOLLOW-THROUGH
• Thickened folds and wall, followed by fold effacement, ulceration and then strictures.
• Strictures are usually confined to the jejunum/ileum.
• Resolution may follow, ileal thickening may remain.
CT
• Bowel wall thickening and fat stranding/mesenteric thickening
• ‘Halo’ appearance due to bowel oedema
