Also known as thromboangiitis obliterans. It is a non-atherosclerotic vascular disease affecting medium-and small-sized vessels of the upper and lower limbs. It affects the distal vessels first and then progresses proximally.
The upper limbs are more frequently affected than the lower limbs
INTERVENTION
• Characteristic appearance on angiography of arterial occlusions with multiple corkscrew shaped collaterals.
• Skip lesions are also a recognised feature—occlusions with normal intervening arteries.
