BARIUM SWALLOW
• Classic appearance is a wide, ‘patulous’ hiatal segment with an accompanying hiatus hernia.
•  Long stricture in the mid or lower oesophagus.
•  Large, deep, solitary ulcer (Barrett ulcer).
•  Fine reticular pattern.
•  Thickened, irregular mucosal folds.
•  Fine granular mucosal pattern.
