Ectopic pancreatic tissue typically occurs in the greater curvature, pylorus, duodenal bulb or proximal jejunum.
BARIUM STUDY
• Submucosal nodule (up to 5 cm diameter) with rudimentary central duct—this appears as a filling defect with tiny central barium collection.
CT
• Often too small to be diagnosed on CT.
• Look for a rounded mass protruding into the gut lumen.
