This is neutropenic colitis; it occurs in patients undergoing treatment for leukaemia, lymphoma and sometimes other malignancies. It typically affects the paediatric population.
CT
• Bowel wall thickening typically affecting the caecum, appendix or terminal ileum.
• 20% have pneumatosis.
• Inflammatory fat stranding.
