Also known as Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome. It is an autosomal dominant disorder characterised by multiple AVMs with a classic triad of telangiectasia, epistaxis and a positive family history. A total of 20% of patients have multiple pulmonary AVMs, causing cyanosis, dyspnoea, stroke and brain abscess.
Other sites of AVMs include the brain, spinal cord, GI tract and liver.
