Rare, but it is the most common tumour to arise due to previous radiotherapy. It is an aggressive tumour that is more common in men. About 15% occur in the retroperitoneum.
CT
• Large, heterogenous soft tissue mass.
• Contains areas of necrosis that are low attenuation.
• Calcification in about 25%—this is quite specific to this tumour and rare in other retroperitoneal malignancies.
