This is a vascular malformation of the eye—it is encapsulated (unlike an infantile capillary haemangioma), rounded and well defined. It is the most common benign intra-orbital tumour in adults. Slowly progressive, painless proptosis is the typical presentation.
CT
• Typically, a lateral intra-conal lesion with patchy enhancement that fills in on delayed images.
• Orbital walls mould around the mass with no bony destruction.
