US

•  Mostly unilateral (more on the left) hydroureter with or without hydronephrosis.
•  Look for a transition point in the distal ureter.

NUCLEAR MEDICINE

•  Micturating cystourethrogram to assess for reflux
•  Mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) to diagnose obstruction and for follow-up
