These are rare. In total, >50% arise from the nasal septum.
An inverting papilloma is where the lesion arises from the lateral nasal cavity wall and inverts to extend to the ethmoidal air cells/adjacent maxillary sinus.
Up to 25% degenerate to SCC, so they are excised.

• Intermediate signal on T1 and T2
• Avid enhancement differs it from mucocele
