Greater risk of adenoma, renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and haemorrhage.
US

•  Suspect when there are greater than three cysts in a patient with ESRF on dialysis.
•  Suspect RCC if there are nodules on cyst.

CT

•  Areas of cyst enhancement suggest RCC—tumours usually small.
•  Cyst walls may calcify.
